Job Summary

Responsible for driving the development and execution of new clinical services capabilities for Walgreen’s Pharmacy Clinical Services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, UX, operations, strategy) and utilizing creative thinking to bring fresh ideas to life. The individual also ensures that capabilities solve for enterprise needs and are aligned with Walgreen’s strategic objectives and customer experience goals.


Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluates potential capabilities and services that could strengthen the value proposition to Walgreens various B2B healthcare customers.
  • Makes recommendations to senior management based on B2B customer needs, market trends and internal Walgreens assessments.
  • May participate heavily in designing new offerings; for example, determining operational and financial design elements of new offerings.
  • Builds strong business cases for recommended offerings, and works cross-functionally to build alignment and secure necessary approvals.
  • Collaborates cross functionally to create, refine and integrate solutions; may also work in close collaboration with B2B customer organizations on co-developed offerings.
  • Develops approaches for monitoring and measuring the success of new value proposition offerings.
  • May engage frequently with B2B customers and utilize client management skills to advance key customer relationships.
  • Provides presentations, updates and reports to senior management on progress of overall program and select initiatives.
  • Organizes and simplifies complex information to develop a clear vision for value proposition advancement.
  • Provides guidance, direction, coaching, and counseling to a team of analysts. Allocates available resources to meet operating objectives. May develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, business strategy development or at least 2 years of experience in strategic management consulting OR High School Diploma / GED and at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, business strategy development or at least 5 years of experience in strategic management consulting.
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience collaborating with internal resources and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals.
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree OR MBA
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of current trends.
  • Experience or deep knowledge of product management, product marketing, and/or service design disciplines and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and driving product innovations or strategic initiatives to solve complex business problems across a wide range of stakeholders (internal & external).

  • Demonstrated experience creating product performance metrics and KPIs to track success measures and delivery of business outcomes/financial targets

  • Experience implementing B2C or B2B2C go-to-market strategies in the healthcare space.
