Graduates would have the abilities and experiences necessary to secure positions with direct clinically focused patient care, ambulatory care practice settings, management opportunities, and academia.

The residency program is conducted within a Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy, an ambulatory care clinic in Des Moines, Iowa and on campus at Drake University. These premier practice locations offer a variety of innovative clinical pharmacy services to patients who are prescribed complex therapies. The pharmacy teams service patients with many disease states including hypertension, diabetes, behavioral health, HIV, Hepatitis C, Oncology, Organ Transplant, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and more.
