Job Summary

Responsible for leading the execution, delivery, and optimization of personalization and experimentation initiatives across Walgreens digital experiences using Adobe Target and related marketing technologies. Serves as the team's subject matter expert for Adobe Target implementation, test design, personalization strategy, audience targeting, and execution best practices. Partners closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Content Strategy, UX, Development, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

Provides leadership, training, and mentorship to team members while ensuring experimentation and personalization initiatives are executed with accuracy, organization, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Experimentation & Personalization Leadership

  • Lead the execution of Adobe Target activities including A/B testing, multivariate testing, audience targeting, recommendations, and personalization experiences.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate objectives into effective experimentation and personalization strategies.
  • Ensure all activities are implemented in accordance with established governance, quality standards, and measurement requirements.
  • Provide consultation on test design, targeting approaches, statistical considerations, and optimization opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Ecommerce, Analytics, UX, Content Strategy, Creative, and Development teams to define and implement customer experience improvements.
  • Participate in planning sessions to evaluate opportunities, dependencies, implementation approaches, and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure appropriate tracking, reporting, and performance measurement structures are in place.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on experimentation and personalization capabilities.

Technical Execution

  • Configure and deploy Adobe Target activities across web and mobile experiences.
  • Create and troubleshoot experiences using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and related digital experience technologies.
  • Validate implementation quality through testing, debugging, and QA processes.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery, targeting, browser compatibility, and experience-rendering issues.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining accuracy, organization, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain clear documentation for tests, personalization campaigns, implementation details, and results.
  • Coordinate activity scheduling, launch readiness reviews, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Support ongoing optimization efforts through proactive recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for Adobe Target execution and personalization initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members on experimentation methodologies, technical implementation, and operational best practices.
  • Develop and maintain execution standards, documentation, and training materials.
  • Represent the team in cross-functional meetings and provide leadership updates on initiative progress, risks, and recommendations.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve experimentation processes, workflows, and execution efficiency.
  • Stay informed on Adobe Target capabilities, personalization trends, customer experience best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the growth of the organization's experimentation and personalization culture through thought leadership and knowledge sharing.


Job Responsibilities
  • Works closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Copy and other functional teams. Creates new or updates existing promotional pages and integrated site placements through the use of a browser-based web content management application.
  • Turns creative designs/layouts into a finished product, utilizing HTML, CSS, XML, Flash and JavaScript as needed, adhering to tight deadlines and specific guidelines and styles, with minimum supervision.
  • Coordinates with internal teams to create business requirements for website page updates, additions or enhancements; leveraging past experience and continuous learning of online user experience best practices.
  • Provides immediate day-to-day support of page production-related requests in a timely manner. Performs project scheduling and troubleshoots a variety of issues relating to content production and execution. Provide off-hour Content Administration support for releases and emergency fixes for shared support across the FTE CA team.
  • Manages a queue of work for both manual and automated processes from pre-production to live site. Provides page production, editing and maintenance support for internal website prototyping environment.
  • Converts/optimizes external content sources, such as HTML, MS Word, Text, graphics, etc. as needed to comply with internal standards.
  • Leads producing team on project items. Coaches, mentors and trains less experienced team members in order to assist in increasing the competency level of the team.
  • Represents team in meetings and may present projects and ideas to the team and serve as the main point of contact for projects relating to the content administration tools.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year web authoring and production experience in business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years web authoring and production experience in a business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment.
  • Experience with web languages, such as HTML, JavaScript, XML, Flash and /or CSS
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Experience with project management (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003: Word (creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering) and PowerPoint (creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year web authoring and production experience in business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years web authoring and production experience in a business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, or similar personalization and experimentation platforms.
  • Experience designing and executing A/B tests and personalization campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital customer experience, user behavior, and conversion optimization principles.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser debugging tools.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or leading others.

Salary Range: $65000 - $113750 / Salaried
