Job Summary:
Performs advanced and diversified administrative duties, for the VP, Operations Improvement and Transformation. Handles confidential matters and performs support functions which require a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Company policy and procedures. Supports a wide variety of administrative matters such as arranging travel and dining, planning and staffing events, supporting and attending meetings, and effectively communicating with leaders across Walgreens. Manages a project work stream, project plan and/or small projects. May contribute and/or provide support to larger projects. Tracks progress/activities of team and work products/deliverables. Budget responsibilities are based on project requirements. Structures and organizes activities of the executive to facilitate the efficient operation of the department. Maintains excellent relationships with others. This role will travel to support the VP in Chicago and preferably Deerfield, IL. #LI-NL1

Job Responsibilities:
- Manages work streams of small projects, and coordinates/manages certain aspects of largerprojects in coordination. Acts as an indirect lead to small teams and may perform as track team lead for intermediate projects.
- Assists in managing project integration, scope, timeline, and communicates the status, risks andissues associated with each to the correct level(s) of the organization to ensure that the projects’ outcomes are achieved as defined. Ensures established budget is adhered to projectrequirements.
- Conducts risk monitoring and controls during the project’s duration to ensure ability to achieveexpected outcome. Prepares, monitors and updates project information, files, documentation,reports, and related work throughout the project lifecycle, including but not limited to project plan,project charter, scope and project schedules. Obtains appropriate level of approval for eachproject document and/or sub teams assigned to ensure appropriate understanding of expectations among all involved organizational levels.
- Collaborates with members of Walgreens Retail Leadership team on regular reporting for thedepartment for various internal and external audiences
- Ensures assigned duties and responsibilities/project results are completed with quality and aretimely and accurate in nature in order to meet project leadership expectations.
- Tracks progress/activities of team and work products/deliverables utilizing project managementsoftware and other standard tools.
- Communicates project status to team and business owners throughout the duration of theassignment and post implementation to make certain all impacted stakeholders have anunderstanding of risks, issues and activities related to the project.
- May provide support for procurement and management of vendors and consultants, includingpayments.
- Schedules, prioritizes, and follows up on meetings and appointments. Maintains calendar andissues reminders and monitors appointments to assure the office operates efficiently.
- Processes expense reports and monitors incoming invoices. Prepares forms to process and payinvoices. May assist in the department’s budget process.
- Makes necessary travel arrangements, including ground transportation and hotelaccommodations. Prepares travel itineraries for supervisor and direct reports.
- Prepares reports, presentations, documents, etc. based on general instructions. Maintainsrelevant databases and related records. Review presentation materials to ensure that the head of the organization unit is able to effectively deliver the presentation to the intended audience.
- Distributes information and materials to the staff as required.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree OR High School/GED and at least 3 years of experience coordinating projects.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization, such as peers, superiors, internal/external stakeholders, business partners.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
- Willing to travel up to/at least 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
