Category Procurement Manager - Final Mile Transportation
Job ID 1600585BRBasic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of procurement experience in OR High School/GED and at least 5 years of procurement experience
- Experience working with business and/or procurement lifecycles and best practices.
- Experience in negotiations and developing/executing strategies.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
- Experience managing projects and/or cross functional teams.
- At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have experience in small parcel and/or omnichannel specialty courier operations with industry knowledge and experience of rate structures, contracts and supplier relationship management in the space.
- Transportation background in Full Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Ocean and/or Drayage is preferred
- Understands the supply chain and logistics operational activities of Shippers/Retailers and the relationship of pre-paid vs. collect vendors.
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of procurement process experience/transportation related experience or at least 5 years of indirect procurement experience/transportation related experience
- At least 3 years of experience in negotiating deals.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: basic functions and formulas as well as the use of pivot tables to analyze data and create reports.)
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint to create presentations to be shared with senior leadership team members.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word
Salary Range
$102800 - $164400 / Salaried
