The Walgreens Executive Fellowship in Pharmacy Practice Leadership is a first-of-its kind, 24-month postgraduate structured training program that provides an intensive focus on enhancing knowledge, skills, and abilities in patient care, practice management, and executive leadership for the purpose of protecting and advancing community pharmacy practice.
Job Responsibilities
- Participates in a 24-month fellowship program to develop leadership, patient care, and pharmacy management skills in community pharmacy.
- Completes rotations in support centers and field operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations and administration.
- Engages in regulatory and legislative policy research and strategic planning for pharmacy modernization, as well as patient safety research, making recommendations for process and system improvements.
- Delivers health and wellness programs, manages pharmacy workflows, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters patient satisfaction through direct interactions
- Manages patient interactions, including counseling, complaint resolution, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Contributes to strategy development, analyzes data, and proposes updates to policies and processes to support business goals.
- Completes investigational projects, presents findings at professional meetings, and publishes research.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education prior to the start of the Fellowship Program.
- Experience in Community pharmacy practice
- Ability to obtain a pharmacist license, within the state of fellowship, within 90 days of the start of the fellowship program.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
- Willing and able to work effectively in different and/or multiple work environments (such as Corporate headquarters, Centralized Services, Retail Pharmacy, Specialty Pharmacy, etc.).
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Preferred Qualifications
- Willing to submit fellowship application materials as required.
- Experience using interpersonal communication and presentation skills to effectively and strategically present ideas to senior-level management and external stakeholders.
- Experience being careful about detail and thorough in completing work and taking on responsibilities and challenges.
Salary for this position is $60,000.00 annually.
Salary Range: $57800 - $84800 / Salaried
