Senior Director, ERP
Job ID 1534114BRThis role will report to the IT VP of Corp Systems as part of the core transformation leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring a history of leading large ERP platform operations, hands on experience with implementations, strong stakeholder management skills, and a maniacal focus on delivering a high-performance, stable environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the planning and execution for the core ERP platform supporting the vision and strategy of Walgreen’s overall ERP transformation program, building a strong ERP center of excellence while supporting the program team through multiple large-scale go-live activities
- Leads the overall engineering team, supporting security, user management, system updates, environment refreshes, database and transport management
- Partners closely with end-to-end solution verticals to understand requirements and ensure system readiness and performance.
- Partners closely with the procurement team managing overall software licensing and negotiations while ensuring compliance
- Responsible for technical designs and playing a key role in design forums and architectural review boards.
- Oversees the necessary hardware provisioning for various IT systems as per overall program timeline requirements Closely manage overall system performance, providing a roadmap and implementation for core indicators at metrics to ensure a high performing environment
- Establishes proper development governance over coding standards and customization
- Sets financial, operational and quality objectives for the team and develops master operational plans. Plans, develops and manages departmental expense and capital budgets.
- Develops short- and long-range product and service strategies and plans. Oversees the execution of operating plans for specified area of responsibility.
- Performs as an idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject- matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutions. Shares highly complex information related to areas of expertise. Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of objectives. Transfers knowledge and collaborates across functional lines and/or across departments. Interacts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programs. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.
- Develops employees through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience leading ERP operations at scale
- Experience with ERP Implementation programs
- Knowledge of ERP in a retail and finance environment
- Experience establishing release management methodologies & testing automation
- Experience in ERP security mechanism best practices, including role-based access control and data protection regulations compliance
- Experience optimizing system performance by analyzing and tuning the system
- Experience establishing best in class backup and recovery procedures, as well as planning and executing disaster recovery strategies
- At least 5 years of experience developing ERP strategies and driving daily operational capabilities
- Experience integrating multiple ERPs in a complex, matrixed environment with positive results
- At least 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects with both internal and external stakeholders.
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
- At least 10 years of experience leading ERP operations at scale
- Experience leveraging tools to monitor system health and performance, and proactively addressing issues
- Proven track record for building and leading high performing teams
- Sense of urgency regarding objectives and timelines
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- High professional communication skills paired with a business-centric mindset
- Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Salary Range $186500 - $320000 / Salaried
