Job Summary
Responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating risk in the areas of surety, financial and executive risk, cyber risk, employment practices risk, casualty and property risk. Delivers results based on the company’s short term and long term strategic goals based on the company's risk profile and risk-retention philosophy. Coordinates the placement of the US insurance program. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to provide recommendations for supplier contracts, and analysis of risks to the organization.

Job Responsibility
  • Participate in stewardship, strategy, renewal, and other meetings with global brokers and insurers.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual renewal applications and updating of underwriting information for US and global insurance coverages.
  • Assess the company’s exposures and design appropriate program structures to mitigate risk while minimizing cost
  • Work with insurance broker network to structure comprehensive and competitively priced insurance programs, bidding the business out to insurers as required.
  • Advise internal stakeholders regarding risk exposures and applicable insurance coverage regarding projects and contractual agreements.
  • Build internal partnerships to highlight risk management’s value in assisting them in their business decision
  • Oversee Certificates of Insurance and Surety responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree and at least 4 years of experience in Risk Management OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in Risk Management
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of experience in risk management, OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 8 years of experience in risk management.
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Risk Management.
  • Associate in Risk Management ARM or CPCU and at least 4 years of experience in risk management, including reviewing and interpreting policy structure and wordings.
  • Experience with a large, multi state or global company in the retail or healthcare sector with a global knowledge of casualty and property insurance coverages, financial products coverage and other insurance placements.
  • Experience working with casualty and property insurance coverages and insurance placement.

Salary Range$115400 - $196200 / Salaried
