Senior Technology Analyst II
Job ID 1628715BRDevelops and implements activities that influence the direction of the specified functional area of IT. Assignments are received in short- and mid-term outcomes that are critical in nature and of highly complex, and strategic that may require the use of innovation and creativity. Operates within the context of defined operating outcomes. Manages vendors, complex processes/programs and/or has responsibility/accountability for a sizeable budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and executes operational activities that have moderate to high impact on the direction of the specified Technology work function. This may include work in Information Security, Business Systems Analysis, Strategy, Operation or analysis work in any other part of the Technology organization that may include items such as:
- Defining, deploying and institutionalizing functional area research approaches and related knowledge basis.
- Forecasting and assessing industry trends and their impact on designs and methods of the specified functional area.
- Establishing research guidelines, best practices and standards.
- Analyzing, summarizing and presenting results to functional teams and decision makers.
- Serving on the of the specified functional area team for highly important initiatives.
- Developing programs that establish and enhance standards.
- Interpreting highly complex results and analyzing trends.
- Identifying and establishing relationships with internal/external partners.
- Implementing new or upgraded measures or controls, and documenting system or process changes.
- Reviewing reports or logs, investigating possible exceptions and collaborating with internal teams or external agencies as needed, including managed service providers.
- Developing and planning controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. May advise on security controls for projects.
- Researching and performing root cause analysis.
- Conducting very complex and thorough research of existing processes, systems, systems logic, hardware deployment and desired objectives to develop detailed systems specifications to meet the needs of the assigned client group and their projects under development.
- Examining existing manuals and automated processes, documentation and training requirements, and the capacities and limitations of existing, or proposed hardware in order to develop comprehensive specifications in a formal and structured way.
- Performs as subject matter advisor and may serve as point of escalation, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems complex in nature.
- May advise on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems and/or networks. May conduct complex cleanup of legacy environments
- May develop complex programs that establish and enhance standards. Develops the specifications of complex projects and may perform as implementation project lead.
- May develop business approaches and new or enhanced processes.
- Guides and mentors less experienced members of the team. May provide subject matter expertise to the business. May participate in teaching and training members of the work team.
- Developing the highly- complex or industry- approaches to drive the development of broad reaching programs/designs.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 year of experience in Information Security, Business Systems Analysis, Governance, Strategy, and/or Operations OR High school / GED and at least 5 years of experience in Information Security, Business Systems Analysis, Governance, Strategy, and/or Operations
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
- At least 2 years of experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience with technical design process and models.
- At least 3 years of experience with requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, JAD/RAD sessions, use case development, process flow diagrams.
- At least 2 years of experience with of SDLC / SW development processes, such as Unified Modeling Language ("UML") and / or Rational Unified Process ("RUP"), Agile, Waterfall)..
- Experience using consulting skills and developing client relationships.
- Experience working in Security Engineering, Threat Response, Security Operations, IT Operations, IT Compliance and/or IT Governance
- Experience with vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review.
Salary Range: $102800 - $164400 / Salaried
