Job Summary

Functions as the subject matter expert on all billing processes for all Community and HSRx pharmacies to optimize revenue collection [for specialized pharmaceutical services/products [e.g., Oncology, Transplant, HIV, etc.] which typically requires a knowledge of multiple payors [e.g., private insurance, Medicare, and/or Medicaid]. Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining patient assistance billing processes for Community and HSRx locations. Works with Sales, Contracting, Accounting and site management to ensure compliant billing processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Defines billing requirements, resources and billing methodologies to provide operational insights to specific billing processes and procedures for new or acquired on-site facilities
  • Utilizes Business Objects capabilities to collect and synthesize patient assistance data from multiple sources, identify trends, propose potential corrective actions, and provides actionable recommendations intended to optimize PAP program performance.
  • Establishes and continuously monitors patient assistance program data to identify trends and recommend location specific information on sales, gross profit, expenses, and business mix.
  • Assists with the due diligence planning and evaluation activities for potential acquisition targets. Once acquired, assists the Regional OperationsDirector with the transition as it relates to billing processes and procedures.
  • Maintains patient assistance program website and guidelines used by HSRx and Community locations.
  • Liaison with Sales and Contracting & Pricing to ensure appropriate billing requirements are contracted.
  • Serves as a point of contact for HSRx and Community employees’ billing issues. Resolves or escalates as needed.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year experience providing billing-focused analytical support OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience providing billing-focused analytical support and reporting.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: changing picture styles, customizing animation and/or setting automatic slide timings).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: adding developer tab, creating a macro, formatting table style, inserting comments and/or creating a mail merge).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: opening a table in datasheet view, entering data, filtering data, creating a form, modifying a form layout, applying themes, running, sorting and saving queries, creating and formatting a report, changing report test, adding an image, printing labels, navigating through records, and/or exporting to Excel).
  • Willing to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).



Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmacy technician certification as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority for pharmacy technicians.
  • Knowledge of patient assistance programs billing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the use of Business Objects in the collection, synthesis, and reporting of data.

Salary Range: $63100 - $101200 / Salaried
