Job ID 1889134BRThe Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is a strategic talent advisor responsible for aligning recruiting strategies with evolving business priorities and workforce plans. This role partners closely with business leaders to deeply understand operational goals, skill gaps, and growth forecasts, translating those needs into proactive talent acquisition strategies.
With a strong focus on pipeline development, the Senior Specialist builds and maintains diverse, high-quality talent communities to ensure readiness for both immediate and future hiring demands. This includes leveraging workforce data, market insights, and competitive intelligence to anticipate talent trends and develop sourcing strategies that strengthen bench strength across critical roles.
The role drives full-cycle recruitment for complex or high-impact positions while also leading long-term pipeline initiatives to reduce time-to-fill and improve quality of hire.
Job Responsibilities
- Partners with the appropriate internal business partners and utilizes deep understanding of recruitment to develop strategies and advise on policies and processes for recruitment. Develops knowledge of the business area and its short and long-term objectives.
- Partners with internal and external stakeholders to assess future talent implications based on business needs tied to the company strategy. Establishes communication strategy to keep business leaders up to date on recruiting activity (i.e. quarterly business reviews, year-end reviews, etc.).
- Evaluates large sets of data to identify trends, proactively solicits feedback and provides recommendations to the business. Tells a story with data to help drive decisions and propose solutions to the business. Continually explores and recommends process improvements. Analyzes the performance and success of sourcing strategies at an aggregate level.
- Provides deep understanding of the external environment and the HR strategic agenda and vigorously ensure that recruiting strategies directly support this agenda. Maintains expert knowledge of talent acquisition trends, policies and processes external to Walgreens; maintain knowledge of business unit and industry trends.
- Perform benchmarking activities and shares findings to help influence the business.
- Develops innovative models on recruiting that can be implemented to meet business needs both in the short and long-term.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management or human resources or high school/GED and at least 4 years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management or human resources.
- Experience in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assessing talent.
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
- Experience providing customer service to internal or external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as human resources or business administration.
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- At least two years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management or human resources
- Experience in retail/healthcare.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).

Salary Range: $65000 - $$113,750.00 / Salaried
