Centralized Services Pharmacist 30 Hours (Onsite Micro-Fill. Center)
Job ID 1459432BRResponsible for providing consultation and new prescription intake in a Fulfillment Center. Provides patient consultation to those members requesting additional information with respect to their drug therapy and relationship to Walgreens pharmacies. Provides guidance, advice on proper drug usage, dosage, drug interactions, frequency, and possible side effects with existing medications that are part of their patient profile.
Job Responsibilities
- Reviews drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe drug therapy. Providesindividualized patient/provider consultation.
- Performs fulfillment center pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews,verification, and medication management. Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribedmedications when necessitated by workload.
- Through use of superior communication skills, wins the trust of patients by listening to their issuesand providing a sounding board for the pharmacy concerns.
- Responds to requests for information and/or policy interpretation, including but not limited to thetransfer of calls to an appropriate Walgreens entity when additional ‘non-pharmacist’ related issuesdevelop.
- Provides feedback as to the effectiveness of the Customer Retention Program including commentsfrom patients as the value of individual consultations.
- Responsible for all questions, dialogues, and issues which relate directly to patient therapy.
- Conducts data and clinical reviews and taking necessary actions to ensure accuracy andappropriateness of medications.
- Provides clinical consultation and knowledge to patients, doctors, and insurance plans as needed.
- Follows guidelines and procedures for all job responsibilities in order to meet goals. Adheres tocompany policies and procedures including all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.

Basic Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority.
- Experience working with confidential information.
- Willing to work non-standard hours, which may include evenings, holidays and/or weekends.
- Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneselfto complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting qualitystandards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if needed.
- Knowledge of insurance plans.
- Knowledge of computer operating systems including Intercom, Promise, and Plus.
- Experience in a pharmacy fulfillment center or mail order site.
- Experience motivating team members to research and resolve issues.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details andmeeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
Salary Range: $119600 - $131560 / Salaried
