Job Summary
Provides support to the supervisor and team related to workflow management, issue resolution and training, which includes PAP, Quick Start, Bridge, Free Trial, Replacement, Study and any other free goods programs managed and/or dispensed by the Company. This role will understand pre-determined criteria to conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with all applicable program rules and regulations encompassing manufacturer established eligibility criteria, including but not limited to calculating household income and applicable% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPL).
Job Responsibilities
  • Assists with workflow management of the queues including assigning work; assists with auditing and reporting of Manufacturer Special Programs Coordinators including order and phone audits; assists with referral processing as needed to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Acts as subject matter expert in the functions of Manufacturer Special Programs Team, including all functions of an Order Processing Technician, and client and customer advocate; provides timely response to internal or external customer order inquiries by telephone and/or email in an in or outbound service center, consistent with service and quality standards.
  • Prioritizes and resolves referral issues including partnering closely with MFN/HUB Case Managers to ensure service needs are met; processes NMDP referrals through all stages, including post-shipment notifications as required. Handles urgent escalated issues for NMDP referrals.
  • Places outbound calls to patients and physician offices regarding prescriptions, orders and all other manufacturer special program services.
  • Assists in training of new team members and ongoing staff training; assist other departments on issues submitted through Windshield; identifies urgent and coordinates resolution with any department to ensure patient care is optimal.
  • Creates and processes referrals and re-order referrals received by electronic data feed, fax, mail and telephone; document detailed notes of all communications in ScriptMed
  • Coordinates patient care by scheduling referrals communicating shipments information, assessing supply needs, verifying patient information, and triaging patients to a pharmacist, as appropriate.
  • Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
  • Must have an active pharmacy technician license or certification as required by state Board of Pharmacy.
  • 2 years' experience in patient care, healthcare, retail, or customer service oriented role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to excellent customer service


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in calculating benefit usage balances, co-pays, days of supply, and other health insurance mathematical calculations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

    Salary Range: $18.25 - $24.35 / Hourly
