Reimagine Walgreens

Pharmacy Educational Assistance Program

We’re big fans of our pharmacists. After all, pharmacy and the Walgreens brand go way back. That’s why we created programs that are dedicated to supporting pharmacy interns and their education. Financial assistance is available for each year that an intern is enrolled in pharmacy school. Sure, it’s a big investment. But it’s one we’ve seen pay off in our pharmacists we have throughout the organization that were previous Pharmacy Educational Assistance Program (PEAP) award recipients.

Pharmacy Educational Assistance Program

The Walgreens Pharmacy Educational Assistance Program (PEAP) provides awards to pharmacy students during each year enrolled in a professional pharmacy program while working for Walgreens as a pharmacy intern, up to $40,000 total.

In exchange for each award, you'll commit to work at Walgreens as a registered pharmacist upon licensure. Students in a 3-year program will commit to 16 months of service as a Walgreens pharmacist for each annual award received, while students in a 4-year program will commit to 12 months of service as a Walgreens pharmacist. Full employment requirement applies to total awards received; for example, 48 months for the entire $40K award. If you leave before those commitments are fulfilled, you'll be required to pay back the award.
